Re: Importing a KML file

Hello,

You mean you want to fulfill or update the dive site list with the content of a KML file ? That's actually a good idea and a good subject of program ;-) Maybe I can write another external tool (after the holidays however), if Sven will not add this feature in the near future.

Re: Suggestions handy for cave diving

Yes, I will do this in metric units because it can be easily done there. Diving Log stores everything in metric units internally, so it is just a database query to get previous used tank sizes. However I cannot do this for imperial tank sizes, because it is not just a database query, it requires al...

Hello Sven, the Fabers we get here in Australia (comply with Australian standards) are actually 12.2l volume. Catalina S80 cylinders are actually 11.1l. Hello, Yes S80 are 11.1l. I recently dived with S100 @ 3300 psi cylinders (in the Maldives), they are 13.2l volume... http://www.luxfercylinders.c...

Re: iPhone connection not possible

Hello, You can also try pinging your iPhone from the PC : find the IP address of your iPhone, open a console on Windows then type 'ping <the ip address>'. Some routers isolate Wi-Fi connections. You should have something like that (times and ip addresses should be different, however). You could also...

Re: SuuntoXML - Abnormal program termination

Hello, I have a Suunto Vyper Air too and I have checked... And that's true... neither the universal downloader nor the DM4 database import adds the warnings. However, my dives of last october have the RBT and ascent warnings. I don't remember how I had added to Diving Log (the built-in import from S...

Re: Integration request for Diving Log

Hello, I don't use runkeeper but I took a look at their API. I think it's possible to write a python (or ruby) script that does the job. There are 3rd libraries that can talk to the runkeeper server and other ones that can read an Access database. That's a job for a real geek (from NL) ;-) If I have...

Re: How to report dive computer download problems?

BTW, if you have the professional (or ultimate) edition of W7, you can install a Windows XP with Virtual PC . rene: Using com0com (or a similar solution) only allows to capture the data. But to get the communication right you also need the other serial settings (baudrate, DTR/RTS lines, etc) and the...

Re: How to report dive computer download problems?

I sent you a private message with links for Suunto DM 1.6, 2.7 and 3.1.

However EON is not listed in SDM 2.7. I'm afraid the 1.6 version I have is the same you've downloaded...

Re: How to report dive computer download problems?

Hello, I can send you tonight an old version of SDM if you want to try with it. You can certainly capture serial ports with com0com (http://com0com.sourceforge.net/) with hub4com. I think also you can capture the serial port with a linux machine running xp with virtualbox and wireshark. It's not eas...

Re: Diving Log on Chromebook

Hello,

Citrix Receiver runs the emulated programs on a remote server, no ? I'm not sure you're be able to access serial/usb/IR ports of your chromebook - if only it has ones - from the Citrix cloud.
