Photos rotated 90 degrees

Post by miguelfzafra »

Hello,

When I upload photos in the Equipment section, some of them get rotated 90 degrees although the original photo is straight and without any rotation. I haven't found the way to fix this, do you have anny suggestion?

Thanks and congratulations for the amazing software that Diving Log is. Totally worth it buying the full version.

Regards, Miguel

Hi Miguel

Sorry for the late response and thank you for your kind words! This is related to EXIF rotation information. Some pictures are not rotated in the picture data itself, but contain only information about the rotation in the EXIF data. Most software and the Windows Explorer use this to automatically show the picture in the correct rotation. I think Diving Log does not do this right now.

I'll look into this, but for now you could use a photo editor and save the image. Depending how this works it might rotate the image physically correct, but this depends on the software. I try to use also the EXIF information to show the image correct.

Kind regards,
Sven
