Import and populate missing species information

Hi,

I've noticed that for some (ca. 240/250) species I've not correctly imported the information available on the encyclopedia of life ... The scientific name for the specific species is properly added, but for example kingdom etc. is blank.

Can an import button / sync button be added to populate those fields from the first entry returned in the encyclopedia of life? (I know the search can show multiple results, therefore the first one is sufficient).

Re-importing would mess-up all dives with these species I assume? I likely have to redo all taggings then, right??

Also - it would help if we can specify the classification - e.g. I prefer to use EOL Dynamic Hierarchy 1.1.

I'm sorry, I actually missed the first post and now I was on vacation with little internet, so sorry for the late response! During my vacation I was running into the same issue, as I have to add species manually because of missing internet connection on the boat and now I want to complete it with EOL data.

So I will be looking into a way to update existing items with new EOL data.

(you might have missed the 'Update selected item' in the translations though, for Dutch: 'Reeds bestaande soort bijwerken'

Yes, the new features are only translated to English and German right now. If you want I can send you an Excel file where you can complete the missing translations (not many, I guess about 15).
