Dive Site Coordinates Source / Accuracy

Post by lloyd_borrett »

G'day Sven,

It would be nice to be able to have a field that enables us to indicate the source and accuracy of the dive site coordinates.

For some dive sites I have the GPS coordinates from the dive boat, known to be accurate.

For some dive sites the coordinates are sourced from some other web site, or friend, charts or whatever, and the accuracy is known to be good or approximate only.

For some dive sites, like shore dives, I've just been using Google Earth to get approximate dive site coordinates.

So being able to have a field where I can specify values like:

GPS, Good
Google Earth, Approx
John Lawler, Good
John Lawler, Approx
etc.

would be a real help.

Of course I can put this information in the notes. But it's far better if it's displayed near the coordinate information.

Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.
